Our Story
VeneziaHarbor was founded in 2009 by **Captain Loukas Argyros**, a Corfiot ocean racer who grew up rigging cats on Garitsa Bay, and his Genoese wife **Chiara Bellandi**, a marine architect who restored the founding family's 1962 ketch *Aigli*. They opened the club above the warehouse arches of the Old Venetian Harbour after watching, year after year, charter clients arrive in Kerkyra with no real introduction to the wind lanes between Corfu and Mainland Epirus. They wanted a base where members could keep a boat, sail her with a proper coach when needed, and finish the day with a plate of *bourdéto* on a terrace that looked over the same stones the Venetian galleys once tied up to.nnThe club is different in three concrete ways.
